After an orientation, we’ll warm up on low angle climbing routes, developing fundamental skills before moving on to graduated techniques tailored to your interests and goals.
Family Rock Climbing
Vail rock climbing adventures with Apex Mountain School welcome all ages of beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers to a variety of granite and sandstone Colorado rock climbing routes. These routes range in height from 35 to 90 feet, and approaches are within 5 minutes from the car.
All age, ability, and fitness levels are welcome. No experience is necessary. Apex provides all technical rock climbing gear (helmet, harness, rock climbing shoes, belay device, etc.) for your outing.
Group Rock Climbing

Group rock climbing is available to all ages, fitness and ability levels. No experience necessary.
Apex provides all technical gear (i.e. climbing shoes, harnesses, helmets, belay equipment, ropes, etc.) for your Colorado rock climbing outing. See the gear list tab above for a list of personal items to bring along on your outing.
