Winter 13er Ascents

Mount Arkansas Climb

Tucked into the heart of the Ten Mile Range between Copper Mountain and Leadville sits the beautiful Mount Arkansas. At a height of 13,795 feet, Arkansas is a mountaineer’s playground. Windswept ridgelines, interspersed with sections of technical rock and steep snow, lead to a summit with tremendous views of Colorado’s most spectacular peaks. Steep couloirs and headwalls offer excellent opportunities for spring skiing and climbing. There are several suitable locations to camp along the route for those interested in multi day outings. Learn how to efficiently manage alpine terrain in a variety of conditions with one of Apex Mountain School’s AMGA and AIARE trained guides. We will work with you to select a route and itinerary that appropriately meet your stated goals and experience level.

The maximum ratio is 2 guests per guide. Select the number of guests (or guides) to accomodate this.
